As mentioned in my latest column: “Connecting with Social Media: Facebook encourages local shopping” published in the Home News Tribune, Courier News and MyCentralJersey.com on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, here is a list of links for the Facebook pages and websites referenced in the column for the town of Clinton (Hunterdon County NJ).

The unofficial “Town of Clinton, New Jersey” Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/ClintonNJ/ was created as a grassroots effort and is administered by a small group of local volunteers who post a mix of community information, events and announcements and moderate comments from their Facebook fan base. The Facebook page is not affiliated with the official government website for the town of Clinton http://www.clintonnj.gov/

The Black Potatoe Music Festival http://www.blackpotatoe.com/afest2012prebuylink/ is coming to the Clinton area in July 2012 featuring 100 local, regional and national musical acts performing on six stages at four venues in the area.

Northwoods Farm Soap and Candle Company http://www.facebook.com/northwoodsfarmsoap featured a photo of a snowman on a recent snowy day, and included a special offer for a free snowman soap to the first person who walked into the store and asked for it, plus a “Snow Special” of 20% off all bath salts to soothe achy muscles.

The Hunterdon Art Museum http://www.facebook.com/HAMuseum posted information about their 60th Anniversary Kick-off Event which took place last Sunday and a link to a podcast interview of executive director Marjorie Frankel Nathanson conducted by Hunterdon Chamber Internet Radio http://www.hunterdonchamberradio.com/

ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) http://www.facebook.com/ShowKids a non-profit, family-oriented community theater group in High Bridge promotes upcoming shows and uploads pictures from previous performances on their Facebook page.

Clinton Book Shop http://www.facebook.com/Clintonbookshop posts updates about in-store events such as author visits and book discussion groups and programs such as World Book Night http://www.us.worldbooknight.org/ an international campaign taking place on April 23 to encourage reading among non-readers through donated new books distributed by volunteers.
